Some resources for grad school applicants:

Prospective Lab Managers and Postgraduate Research Assistants

Prof. Goldberg will be looking in Spring of '25 to hire a lab manager to start in 2025-2026.

If you are or are hoping to be a lab manager, check out The Manager’s Manual, created by Nicole Cuneo (who was a lab manager at Haskins before joining us!!

Prospective Postdocs and Visiting Researchers

Our group is too small to train visitors or (unenrolled) students in experimental methods, and there is no infrastructure  in the psychology department for visitors in theoretical linguistics. On rare but rewarding occasions, we have welcomed visitors who actively contribute to experimental or modeling work on language for shorter or longer visits. If you are interested, please see the Princeton website for information about formal and financial requirements for visiting graduate students or visiting postdocs.

For German postdocs or researchers no more than 12 years since PhD, it is possible to apply for funding from the Humboldt Foundation’s Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship.

For racial or ethnic minorities and/or women in experimental psychology or modeling, Princeton appoints 12 postdocs or associate research scholars for 1-2 years.

For prospective Chinese postdocs, see the Peking-Princeton Postdoctoral Program

If you are instead interested in visiting the linguistics program at Princeton, contact Marie L. Basso <[email protected]> for information.

Prospective Undergraduate Thesis Students and Research Assistants

We are often looking for research assistants and thesis students. Princeton students interested in becoming an RA or conducting a thesis or junior paper in the lab should contact Prof Goldberg at [email protected].
